EXT is a state-of-the-art software package that generates netlists from
graphics files, an is essential for use with fixture software packages, to construct test
programs for flying probe testers and fixture testers.
EXT eliminates the use of the self-learned or "golden board"
method, thus guaranteeing 100% consistency with the actual CAD data used to manufacture
the board and saving thousands of dollars in bad board production.
In addition to saving money by avoiding bad board production, EXT can
save you hundreds of hours in the construction of complex fixtures and can eliminate the
construction of bad fixtures.
EXT lets you choose the type of netlist information that
you need. Generate netlists for single layers or for any combination of layers. The
netlist can include all the components and vias, components only, or end points of the
nets. If you work with SMT boards, you can easily insert test points automatically to
generate the necessary probe points.
To guarantee 100% consistency with CAD data, EXT generates
a net profile report that lists the quantity of test points.
EXT can be used by virtually all bare board tester
installations (captive, independents, and test services), as well as those who specialize
in the construction of fixtures or offer netlist extraction and fixture drill tapes as a
service.
- Buried Resistor (option)
EXT automatically calculates the resistance of features using the
resistivity of the layer. Ext will also support multiple resistances on a single
layer. These values can then be output to a netlist usable by various test fixture
packages and flying probe testers.
